STUDENT EMPLOYMENT

    Welcome to the Office of Student Employment

The Office of Student Employment serves students seeking part-time employment on and off campus during the academic year and summer term. Case is commited to utilizing student employees whenever possible.  To fulfill this commitment, the Office of Student Employment, a department within the Office of University Financial Aid, has been established to:

  • Provide standardized practices and procedures for student employment;
  • Ensure equal work for equal pay;
  • Prevent discrimination;
  • Centralize information about job opportunities within the University community for Case students;
  • Develop job opportunities that enhance educational or career objectives;
  • Provide a referral service for students;
  • Process payroll data;
  • Screen qualified applicants.

Employer vacancies are available for student review in accordance with employer specifications.  On-campus employers must refer to the pre-established job titles and pay rates when submitting job requests to the Office of Student Employment.  Qualified students will be given the job information and will be advised to contact the employer directly to schedule an interview.

No student may be hired by a department on campus without the approval of the Office of Student Employment.  In some cases, employment can affect a student's financial aid package;  it is therefore essential that both departments and students follow the established procedures.
